WHO IS GEORGI NIKOV?
Before you get to know me, I want to say Hi and welcome to my website!I'm a multidisciplinary artist born in Sofia, Bulgaria. I'm a graphic designer, painter and Illustrator. My expertise is focused on creating traditional paintings, concept art, 2D Digital art.Key Artistic Profile
Style & Technique: I work in expressionist and abstract expressionist style. In my physical paintings, I frequently use acrylics and watercolors, often applying heavy textures with a palette knife to create depth in cityscapes and landscapes.
Digital Art: I have expertise creating digital illustrations for book covers, board games, mobile and PC games industry. I have also worked in the book publishing studio as a graphic designer and book cover artist.Education

The mirror is not merely an object, but a space in which the viewer encounters themselves. In this project, it becomes a bridge between past, present, and future—the three directions that shape our lives.
The project aims to show that every viewer is simultaneously a witness and a participant in the artwork—because it is precisely their own reflection that forms the heart of the piece. In this way, the paintings are not complete in themselves; they come alive through the person who stands before them.

The First Work – The Past
“The past shaped my reflection, but it does not define me.”
It symbolizes the roots, the lessons, and the scars that build us. In the painting, the past is depicted in an achromatic (black-and-white) tonal range. The black frame on a white background creates the sense that everything is contained within the frame of our life up to this point. Within it, the broken mirrors form an image of themselves that we recognize, yet one that no longer defines us.

The Second Work – The Present
“The reflection in the mirror holds the power of now.”
Here, the central idea is the choice we make in this very moment. The mirror places the viewer at the heart of the decision—right here, right now. The strong, vibrant colors, the light, and the open forms convey the energy and freedom of the present moment.

The Third Work – The Future
“The future is in my reflection, shaped by my hands.”
The future is a space of possibilities. It is not fixed, but created by every action we take today. The mirror reveals not merely an image, but a vision of what is yet to be born.

This plein air for me was a beautiful sea muse, which poured out onto the canvases that I had brought. The art that I created could not exist without our skillful organizer Gabriela Zhekova. The views, the beauty of Balchik and the northern coast near Tyulenovo created an unforgettable memory for years to come. Thank you to Albena resort for the base that it provided us so that we could show the best of ourselves.
